FPGA Network Processing Card Based on Xilinx 7 Series

A new FPGA network processing card features two Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGAs. The PCIe-287N from Nallatech is targeted at high-end applications in network processing, cyber security and algorithm acceleration.
The architecture of the PCIe-287N is well suited to a number of applications including real-time network filtering and high frequency trading. The two Kintex-7 FPGAs are directly coupled to four SFP+ ports supporting a range of Ethernet protocols including 1 and 10GbE, SONET and OTN. Each FPGA utilizes multiple independent banks of high-bandwidth, QDR-II+ SRAM and DDR3 SDRAM to support random access and deep storage. A third FPGA provides a PCI Express interface supporting sustained bandwidths up to 5 Gbytes/s.
