WIN Enterprises announces a new desktop platform designed to support a range of applications requiring compact size and versatile performance. The PL-80520 from WIN Enterprises is powered by an AMD Embedded G-Series SoC, an embedded component guaranteed for long product life. The platform features a high-bandwidth DDR3 DIMM slot that supports memory up to 8 Gbytes. Storage interfaces include a 2.5” SATA HDD and CompactFlash.
The PL-80520 is equipped with 4 Copper GbE ports, bypass function, a USB 2.0 port, a RJ45 console port, a mini-PCIe socket (PCI-e x1 & USB) and 11 LED indicators for monitoring power, storage activities for system management, maintenance and diagnostics.
Housed in an attractive black-metal chassis, the unit was designed as a wireline or wireless (optional) networking or network security device. Expansion capabilities include a full-size Mini-PCIe with USB, a half-size Mini-PCIe with USB and PCIe/SATA signaling. Additional network features include 1 x RS-232/422/485 + 2 x RS-232; 2 x USB 2.0 and 1x USB 3.0, and Line-out, Mic-In audio ports. Features also include the onboard 1.6 GHz AMD Embedded G-Series SoC, one DIMM with up to 8 Gbyte DDR3 and optional Wi-Fi support.
